CASE STUDY ASSIGNMENT:
SPEAKING SAMPLES AND TRANSCRIPTION

Pre-session task
Decide on the segment of speech you want to use from the recording of your case study learner.
Attempt to transcribe the first two sentences - refer to the first phonology session.
Include all the linking examples in your transcription - refer to the second phonology session.
Bring them to the transcription session with the recording.

The session
This is a practical session.
We will take the chosen segment from each of you and transcribe as much as we can in the time available.
This will allow you to:
1. Check the accuracy of your transcription of the first two sentences.
2. Revise your use of the phonemic script.

Post-session task
Complete the transcriptions you intend to use in your case study assignment before the next session in week 25.
